There Was No Snow On Christmas Eve by Pam Munoz Ryan is a beautifully illustrated book that brings the first Christmas to life through the differences children will see when comparing their own experiences with those of Mary and Joseph so many years ago. Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus didn't need coats or mittens, they didn't sit by a warm fire or watch the snow fall. Instead, they sat in a stable with warm desert breezes that rustled the palm trees. A wonderful choice to share with kids ages 5 and up.
